I’ve just finished a new novel! A Lawyer for Dukes and Drifters (working title) blends legal adventure with fantasy in a world inspired by the Baroque-era central Europe – specifically, the Holy Roman Empire of the 1600s and early 1700s.

If this rings a bell, it’s the novel I posted about in late 2024, which had a truly terrible working title: Jonas Fischer, Attorney, and the Duke of Bollwerk-Urwald. Much has changed since then, even the hero’s last name (now Wild), but not the novel’s driving spirit.

I’m just at the start of the often-long process that leads to publication, so I’m afraid you can’t read LD&D yet. But you can stay up to date on the novel’s progress if you click here to sign up for notices. I hope you will.
